Matthew Meiller is the President and Principal RF Engineer of Peak Gain Wireless. He earned graduate degrees in Electrical Engineering with focus in Electromagnetics, is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Texas and NARTE Certified EMC Engineer. Matt founded Peak Gain Wireless LLC in his basement in 2011 with the help of local engineering college students. The company has since outgrown its first 1000 square foot office space, and is quickly filling the second 6000 open concept lab space. As of this writing, the company has 19 people on staff.
Always looking for adventure as well as wireless design projects, Matt moved his young family across the country 3 times as he searched out business critical technical challenges and finally returned home to beautiful Wisconisn. His tenures include Lucent Technologies, Agere Systems, Texas Instruments, GE Healthcare, RF Technologies and LS Research. Matt also taught Electronics at Milwaukee Area Technical College. Matt brings breadth and depth of technical experience in several wireless industries to the management and mission of Peak Gain Wireless and attracts like minded experts to the team with passion for the work we do.
In his downtime, Matt enjoys the four seasons Wisconsin offers. In summer, he likes to spend afternoons boating on various local lakes. In winter, he enjoys skiing and attempting to snowboard. Above all else, he values spending time doing anything with his family. He also enjoys partaking in silly fun experiences such as demolition derbys and launching pumpkins with automotive airbags.
Embedded Software Jedi
Nate Gerner is a self-described Embedded Software Jedi. He’s a Firmware Engineer at Peak Gain Wireless. Nate has experience with gateways, RTOS, and many large firmware and software development projects.
Nate rose to the Jedi level through experiences at RF Technologies, Honeywell, Badger Meter and Gilson, as well as defending our country in the United States Army Reserve in Kuwait and Iraq. Nate is an expert in writing embedded firmware to the ANSI C standard.
Nate resides in the Madison, Wisconsin area with his wife and children. In his free time Nate enjoys doing projects around his house and home brewing beer.
Lead Firmware Ninja
Jeff Krueger is an expert Embedded Firmware Engineer. He is a Senior Firmware and Electrical Engineer at Peak Gain Wireless. Prior to joining Peak Gain Wireless, Jeff worked as a software engineer at RF Technologies, Rockwell Automation and Bear Automotive.
Jeff is a graduate of MSOE, an inventor/co-inventor for five U.S. patents and has over 25 years of industry experience. He has architected and coded proprietary and standards based wireless networks including LoRa, Wi-Fi, Zigbee and Bluetooth Low Energy.
When he is done creating code for the day, Jeff likes to get outside on his bicycle. On rainy days, he enjoys winemaking. His dogs and bird often keep him company while he codes.
Chief Operating Officer
Jennifer Meiller joined Peak Gain Wireless as Chief Operations Officer in 2015 to assist her husband Matthew Meiller run the growing (thriving) family business. Prior to working at PGW, Jennifer had a rewarding 17 year career as a Registered Nurse, working in various specialties including gastroenterology, hospice and intensive care in hospitals around the country.
Jennifer is responsible for purchasing, managerial and operational duties at Peak Gain Wireless. Through her career as a nurse, Jennifer has developed excellent multitasking, prioritization, relationship, leadership, resource management skills. She has a special affinity for PGW’s health care clients and projects and brings a practical end user’s perspective to the drawing board.
In her down time, Jennifer enjoys exercising the family dog at local dog parks and chilling out at home with Matthew and their two kids.
Mobile Apps Lead
Leonid Yerukhimov not only has a long last name, he also has a long job title because of his many talents. Leonid is a Senior Firmware and Mobile Apps Engineer at Peak Gain Wireless. Leonid has many years of industry experience writing firmware at companies including RF Technologies and Rockwell Automation.
Leonid holds a MSEE degree and looks forward to ongoing opportunities to learn new things. Leonid has authored iOS and Android apps to join custom hardware to smart phone or tablet and is an expert firmware engineer. At last count Leonid has 5 different PCs and Macs on his desk as well as at least 1 each iPad, Android Tablet, iPhone and Android Phone. He’s ready for anything!
After a long day in the office, Leonid likes to get outside and hike the trails with his wife at the beautiful state parks in southeastern Wisconsin. He also enjoys vacationing in Alaska and taking road trips with his family.
